📸🇫🇷😎🎭 It was such a pleasure and honour to photograph and document the rehearsal of Lok Kan Cheung and her theatre collective Theatre Ash 煉劇場, for their new creation Désolé·e, j'ai oublié d'oublier (Sorry, I Forgot to Forget).

This poetic performance is a collaboration between Merdan Ehet'éli, a Uyghur poet; Ziale, a traditional Uyghur dancer; and Lok Kan Cheung (Theatre Ash), a Hong Kong theatre artist working with objects, body, and memory.

Rooted in experiences of displacement and memory, the piece drifts through fragments of dreams, gestures, and voices, searching for traces of “home” between movement and silence.
Objects become marks of absence, and the body becomes a language for what cannot return.

Currently in artistic residency at Le DOC (26 Rue du Dr Potain, Paris 19e),
the work will have a work-in-progress sharing on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 PM — free entry.
